REMICADE (Infliximab)
Remicade (remicade.com) is an intravenous (IV) medication for Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Chron’s Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Arthritis, Recurrent Uveitis, Adult Stills Disease, Vasculitis, Undifferentiated Spondyloarthropathy, Pyoderma Gangrenosum and other inflammatory diseases. This medication belongs to a new and exciting group of medications, called “Biologics” These medications are very specific and very effective.

ORENCIA (Abatacept)
Orencia (orenciahcp.com) is an intravenous (IV) medication for Rheumatoid Arthritis. It is well tolerated and significantly helps to treat arthritis symptoms and slow progression. The infusion itself takes about 1hr including set-up time. It is painless, has few side effects, and allergic reactions are overall rare. This infusion is covered by most insurance companies.

ACTEMRA (Tocilizumab)
Actemra (actemra.com) is an intravenous (IV) medication for Rheumatoid Arthritis. It is well tolerated and significantly helps to treat arthritis symptoms and slow progression. The infusion itself takes about 1hr including set-up time. It is painless, has few side effects, and allergic reactions are overall rare. This infusion is covered by most insurance companies.

BONIVA (Ibandronate)
BONIVA is an intravenous (IV) medication used for Osteoporosis. Though this drug has been used for many years for other purposes it is now also available for Osteoporosis patients that cannot tolerate oral bisphosphonates (these are medications such as Fosamax and Actonel). The great thing about this medication is that only one infusion every 3 months.

RECLAST (Zolendronic Acid)
Reclast (Zoledronic Acid) is an intravenous (IV) medication used for Osteoporosis. This medication has been available for many to treat Osteoporosis patients that cannot tolerate oral bisphosphonates (these are medications such as Fosamax and Actonel). The great thing about this medication is that only one infusion per year.

BENLYSTA (Belimumab )
Benlysta (benlysta.com) is the first new medication approved for SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematous) in 40 years. It is given monthly IV for moderate to severe Lupus and overall very safe. This is not a good choice if you have severe disease but can be very helpful for many patients with lupus.

SIMPONI ARIA (Golimumab)
Simponi Aria (simponiaria.com) is an intravenous (IV) medication used in conjunction with Methotrexate.
It has been proven to improve the symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis. The infusion itself takes about 1hr including set-up time. It is painless, has few side effects, and allergic reactions are overall rare. This infusion is covered by most insurance companies.

KRYSTEXXA (Pegloticase)
Krystexxa (krystexxa.com) is an intravenous (IV) medication used to treat Gout. It works to reduce uric acid and to help dissolve and remove crystal buildup in patients with uncontrolled gout flares despite being on daily treatment. The infusion itself takes about 2 ½ hrs including set-up time. It is painless, has few side effects, and allergic reactions are overall rare. This infusion is covered by most insurance companies.

RITUXAN (Rituximab)
Rituxan (rituxan.com) is an intravenous (IV) medication used to treat Rheumatoid Arthritis and certain auto-immune diseases. The infusion itself takes between 3-4 hrs including set-up time. It is painless, has few side effects, and allergic reactions are overall rare. This infusion is covered by most insurance companies.

PROLIA (Denosumab)
Prolia (prolia.com) is a SQ (subcutaneous) injection given for Osteoporosis once every 6 months. We actually were involved in some of the early studies for this medication and believe that is very safe and well tolerated. It can be an excellent choice for patients that cannot tolerate oral medications.

CIMZIA (Certolizumab Pegol) 
Cimzia (cimzia.com) is a prescription biologic medication that is injected subcutaneously. It works to prevent inflammation that may result from an overactive immune system. It is used to treat moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis.
